Local game data
Saved puzzles, recent activity, timers, notes and progress are stored in your browser using localStorage. They are not synced between devices.
Email forms
The demo signup records only that a form was completed; it does not keep the email address in localStorage. A live email provider, retention policy and consent notice must be disclosed before launch.
Advertising and analytics
Advertising or analytics providers must be disclosed here before they are enabled, together with the controls required in each region.

Advertising, cookies and privacy choices
Advertising is currently disabled. Pencil & Grid is prepared for Google AdSense review, but ad-serving code is not activated until the site is approved and the required privacy controls are configured.
Google advertising
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and process information such as IP address, device information, page activity and ad interactions to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Before personalized advertising is served to users in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Pencil & Grid requires a Google-certified consent management platform that integrates with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. The consent message and vendor list are configured through the advertising account, not simulated by this website.
Local site storage
Saved puzzles, puzzle progress, notes and device preferences use browser storage so the site can remember choices on this device. These local features are separate from advertising and can be cleared from Device settings.
Advertising controls
When Google advertising is active, users can review Google advertising preferences in My Ad Center. Additional regional privacy choices may be provided through the consent message shown for the visitor's location.
